A camera is the most convenient scanner you own, and Telegram is the easiest way to use it as one. Take a photo of the page, the sign or the note, send it to @image_to_text_free_bot, and the text of the photo comes back as a message. No scanning app, no “document mode”, no account — and the result is text you can search, edit and translate, not another image.
The bot is built for real photos rather than clean scans: it tolerates a tilted camera, uneven lighting, curved book pages and text mixed with pictures. Printed text of any size is read reliably; clear handwriting works well too, and neat block letters best of all. It reads more than 100 languages, detects the language on its own, and returns the text with its original line breaks and lists.
A few habits make photos read better: get close enough that the text is the main thing in the frame, hold the phone parallel to the page, and let the camera focus before you shoot. If the page is long, two photos of the halves usually beat one photo of the whole. On a phone, the whole loop — photo, send, copy — takes about fifteen seconds.

Frequently asked questions
Can it read a photo of a book page?
Yes. Photograph one page at a time, with the page filling the frame. Curved text near the spine is handled; strong shadows are the main thing to avoid.
What about a blurry photo?
Slight blur is fine; if letters are not distinguishable to your eye, they will not be to the bot either. Retake the photo with the camera focused on the text, in better light, and it will read cleanly.
Does it read handwritten notes?
Clear handwriting and block letters, yes. Very loose cursive or faint pencil is hit-and-miss. Printed text is always the most accurate.
How do I get the text into my notes app?
Long-press the bot’s reply in Telegram and choose Copy, then paste it anywhere. On desktop, select the text and copy as usual. You can also forward the message to a Saved Messages chat as an archive.
