Handwritten notes are great to make and terrible to search. Photograph the page and send it to @image_to_text_free_bot in Telegram: the bot reads clear handwriting and returns it as typed text, with the line structure of the page kept, so a page of bullet points comes back as bullet points.
What works: neat handwriting, block letters, whiteboard markers, notes written with a pen on paper, in any of 100+ languages. What is harder: loose cursive, faint pencil, overlapping corrections and very small writing. Printed text on the same page is read perfectly alongside the handwriting, so mixed pages — a form filled in by hand, a printed sheet with notes in the margin — work well.
For best results, photograph in daylight or under a lamp without shadows, keep the phone parallel to the page, and shoot one page at a time. Read the result once for words the writer alone would recognize. Five pages a month are free; a package covers a whole semester of notes for the price of a coffee.

Frequently asked questions
Does it read cursive?
Neat, consistent cursive usually reads well; hurried or highly personal cursive may come back with mistakes. Block letters and printed text are always the most reliable.
Can it read a whiteboard?
Yes — photograph it straight on, without glare from windows or lights, and the marker text reads cleanly.
Which languages does it support for handwriting?
The same 100+ as for printed text, detected automatically. Latin, Cyrillic, Arabic and Devanagari handwriting are all supported.
Does it keep the structure of my notes?
Line breaks, bullet points and numbered lists are kept. Arrows, diagrams and drawings are not converted — only text.
